This is a spectacular looking plant to have in the vegy garden.
As a food source, the grain amaranth is just as spectaculer.
As Amaranth is not a grain but simply a seed, it avoids many intolerances.
High in vitamin B and E as well as generous quantities of potassium, zinc and protein, it is a very valuable food source in the garden.
It will grow to 2m in height with a 1m spread, so make plenty of room.
