Small and compact, the Red Ball Chilli plants have a very decorative appeal in the garden with the delightful round, red fruit.
On the general heat scale these chilli's are at the middle of the high heat varieties.
The seeds are considerably hotter than the flesh.
They are best planted directly where they are to grow as they do not like transplanting much.
They will grow well in a large pot but you need to make sure that you fertilize with a well balenced mix as they can develop lots of leaves and no fruit if the fertilizer is too high in nitrogen.
Can be used when green, yellow or red, they are excellent for stuffing.
